900 years from the Crusaders (Brother Knights) who cared for sick pilgrims, regardless of race or faith, in 11th Century Jerusalem, to the modern St John Ambulance.
This organisation now has 250,000 staff and volunteers in 40 countries providing ambulances and first aid.
