The U3A.

u3a is a UK-wide movement of locally-run interest groups that provide a wide range of opportunities to come together to learn for fun.

The u3a has been set up for those who have retired from full-time work and are seeking opportunities for social interaction, learning and sharing knowledge. Members explore new ideas, skills and activities together, there are no qualifications to pass – it is just for pleasure. Learning is its own reward

It's all voluntary; a typical u3a will be home to many activity groups covering a variety of topics, all set-up and run by members themselves.

u3a Norwood is a very welcoming, inspiring, non judgemental group of people.
This organisation gives individuals a chance to meet others and explore hobbies they might like to get involved with usually meeting at the accessible South London Theatre (a restored former fire station), just up the road from the Norwood picture House and Library.

Look at poetry, listen to music, discuss films, share and listen to each others own written work, get involved with creative craft work, delve into family history, join us for uplifting outings to places of special interest in London as well as at eateries, listen to chosen speakers at monthly general meetings on a wide range of topics.
